DNA to Host Open House for Eight Downtown Businesses
On Thursday, April 5, from 4 to 6:30PM, the Downtown Neighborhood Association will host an open house for seven new businesses that have opened in downtown Elgin since the start of the year, and one that will be relocating to a new space in downtown. Together the businesses represent a healthy mix of retail boutiques, restaurants and professional services.
DNA and city officials will conduct a progressive series of ribbon-cutting ceremonies at each of the eight businesses. The schedule is as follows:

Fat Cat Custom Guitars & Repair Shop – 59 Douglas
Fat Cat Music Lessons – 63 Douglas
Charles Fast Foods – 57 Douglas
Robert Mikulski & Co., PC – 23 Douglas
Elgin Home Care – 16 Douglas
Spacetaste Gallery – 215 E Chicago (new location)
Guests may attend the scheduled ribbon cuttings or visit any of the participating businesses during the open house period from 4 to 6:30PM. Each business will provide refreshments and giveaways. Guests are encouraged to tweet while at the event using Twitter hashtag #DTOpenHouse. This event is free and open to the public, however RSVPs are requested.
