I'm sitting on the Hemmens lawn watching a movie with 50 others on a summer night. There is a cool breeze, popcorn and laughter. Best of all it's free. If you missed this one, you have two more chances July 30th and August 20th at 8 pm.

Egret spotted at dam today
I spotted an egret standing at the base of the Kimball St. Dam around 2:40 today.

Remember Outdoor Theaters?
Well you won't be able to drive right up to this one. You'll have to park your car and walk over to the south lawn of the Hemmens Cultural Center on Saturday, June 25th. The Cultural Arts Commission is presenting "Around the World in 80 Days", the 1955 classic. The movie starts at 8 pm. Bring the whole family for a free movie by the riverfront. DNA will be selling pop corn and other goodies
