Bring your family and join in on events that commemorate the true meaning of Memorial Day.
On Monday, May 31 at 9:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park - adjacent to Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Avenue, the Elgin Navy Club and the Marine Corps League will host a Memorial Day ceremony.
The program will feature the Elgin Choral Union and honor those who lost their lives at sea. Service ends with the the strewing of flowers into the Fox River, rifle salute, and Taps.
Use Eastbound Kimball St. from Rt. 31 to reach the area because of street closings related to the Elgin Fox Trot.
